1 1/2 (350 ml) cups medium chunky salsa
1 teaspoon (5 ml) salt
1/2 teaspoon freshly ground pepper
2 Tablespoons (30 ml) butter
1/2 cup (125 ml) green onions, finely sliced
3/4 cup (175 ml) shredded cheddar cheese for garnish, if desired
